ICONZ IPSTAR Satellite Internet Troubleshooting Guide (6)

Click on start, then select run

In the box that appears, type cmd

Click on OK

In the black window that appears, type ipconfig and press enter

You should see information similar to the following:

Note down the number shown next to 'Default Gateway'. You can now close this window

NOTE 1: If your connection is provided through Landcorp Farming Ltd, please give us a call on 0800 843 638 and we'll talk you through the necessary settings.

NOTE 2: If you have a router or another device sitting between your computer and the IPSTAR unit, you should check with your normal network administrator before attempting the below.

Otherwise, complete the following steps:

Open Internet Explorer

Once Internet Explorer has opened, locate the address bar. Click on the address that is shown, and delete it.

In the now-blank address bar, type the following address: http://typeyourdefaultgatewayhere:8080/xwebgateway.cgi

For example, if your default gateway is 192.168.5.100, you should type the following:

Once you have typed this in, press enter on your keyboard.

This should bring up a webpage that looks similar to the following:

Once this screen has loaded, please note down the following information:

- Signal Strength level

- EsNO level

- Login Status Messages

This information will help us to work out why your connection is not working. For your connection to work, the information you see should be similar to the information in the above example.
