This should read:

Local Area Connection / Connected, Firewalled

However, it may read:

Local Area Connection / Disabled, Firewalled

-If this is the case, it means that the Local Area Connection on your computer has been disabled. To enable it, right click on the Local Area Connection icon, and click Enable. Once the computer has finished enabling the connection, your Internet connection should work.

Alternatively, it may read:

Local Area Connection / Disconnected, Firewalled or Local Area Connection / Network Cable Unplugged

-If this is the case, it means that your computer is not detecting your router.

Check that the router is connected correctly to the computer, and that the cables are securely in place. You could also try restarting the computer and the router. If this problem persists, there is likely to be a problem with the network card on your computer or the router.
